Experience as AWS Cloud Intern in a Summer Internship with F13 Technologies

The ideal way for undergraduate students to develop new abilities and advance their knowledge in a preferred subject is through an internship preferably in the summer since that would be the best way to utilize time.
In this internship, I learned about AWS, its cloud services, and the tools and technologies used by AWS customers. I learned about some of AWS’s top services, including EC2, load balancers, and S3 storage solutions; the tools and technologies utilized by AWS customers; gained insight into how the cloud works and how it is gonna be really important in the future.
The internship course was very meticulously planned and offered 24/7 guidance if required. In the first few weeks, I had to undergo training where I had to complete and earn some certifications.

These certifications helped me gain knowledge on how the cloud and it’s services really work. It also helped me learn how I can help customers in their businesses in the future with AWS.

I had to complete and earn 6 certifications by the end of 4 weeks. After you finish reading the course material an exam had to be written in order to receive the certifications and a score of 80% or above was mandatory with 2 tries. I failed some of the certifications once but I then managed to score above 80% in all the certifications and earned them.
The certifications are provided by AWS itself and are valid for lifetime, worldwide.
The accreditations are listed down below.
-AWS Business Professional Accreditation
-AWS Cloud Economics
-AWS Technical Professional
-AWS Training for Partners Foundation (Business)
- For the last accreditation, there was a choice between 2 electives, Machine Learning and Data Science.
- I chose to pursue the Data Science accreditation.
The quality of questions was very good and I would recommend the course to anyone looking to start learning or brush up on their concepts.
After the training period was completed I was given real-world tasks with weekly milestones which would be then reviewed by my mentor.

These milestones helped me realize how to use my knowledge from the training period practically. Now I know how to help businesses with their AWS services and needs. Interactive weekly meetings were regularly scheduled by the mentors to monitor our development and identify our weak points.

Overall, working with F13 Technologies was an excellent learning experience. It inspired me to research other cloud services like Microsoft Azure and gain some new information on my own.
It also piqued my interest in other areas as well. I am more prepared than ever to enter the field of computer science, continue learning new things, and generally advance as a developer.
